Annette DiGerolamo Major, 73, native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2023 surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancers and COPD. She was born one of seven children to Joseph and Mary DiGerolamo on October 18, 1949.
Annette was a devoted Catholic and avid reader who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working crossword puzzles and word games, and watching the Game Show Network, Hallmark Channel and football. Although she battled cancer four times and COPD along with many other challenges throughout her life, she never complained.
She was the beloved mother of Tammy Haupt (Mark) and Kirk Major, proud grandmother of Joshua Haupt (Stacy), and dear sister of Joseph DiGerolamo, Richard DiGerolamo (Beverly), Robert DiGerolamo, and Marcia Nevels and will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, godchildren and family, some by blood, others choice.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Edgar J. Major, III; son, Edgar J. Major IV (Little Edgar); parents, Joseph and Mary DiGerolamo; brother, David DiGerolamo; and sister, Laura DiGerolamo.
Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home & Crematory located at 11000 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815 on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:30 AM officiated by Deacon Don Musso. The graveside services and burial conducted by the Rev. Jerry Martin will follow at Prairieville Cemetery in Prairieville, Louisiana.
