Annie Mae Ferguson Aubin passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at 12:22 am at the age of 96. She was born in Grayson, Louisiana to William Alfred and Zelma Armetta Ferguson on April 20, 1917. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church since the age of ten years old. She retired from LA Civil Service Department and LA Health&Human Resource Department after 33 years. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from noon until service at 2 pm conducted by Rev. Oren Conner and Dr. Ferris Jordan. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Kyle and Carolyn Starns and husband Robert Starns. Grandchildren are Gary and Marie Starns, Eric and Cheryl Starns, Troy and Bekki Starns, Kevin and Leslie Kyle and Craig Kyle. Great grandchildren are Kate and Emily Starns, Madalyn, Zachary, and Allanah Starns and Noah and Kennedy Kyle. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Zelma Ferguson; five brothers, Sidney, Hershal, Ben, Gerald and W.A. Ferguson; sister, Hazel Ferguson Peters; son, Leslie Aubin, Jr.; and granddaughter, Nicole "Nikki" Starns Alleman. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Geri Soileau, Jena Madere, Becky Hawke and Sylvia Spears. Pallbearers will be Gary Starns, Eric Starns, Troy Starns, Kevin Kyle, Craig Kyle, Bill Peters, Sid Ferguson and Mike Ferguson. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church.
