Annie Lucy Carlin Chambers, a loving Wife, “Pet Mother”, Daughter, Sister, and Aunt, left her earthly home and was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on June 10, 2024. We are grateful for her 90 years of love and caring. A lifelong lover of animals, Annie’s affinity was the beloved Pekingnese dog, having raised several in her life more as children - Christmas gifts under the tree, mini birthday cakes, and a multitude of pictures. She and her husband also fed every stray animal that showed up at their back door. As a loving Aunt, Annie never missed a chance to bake or provide an untold amount of cakes and her sweetest homemade ice cream for numerous family gatherings. She loved her family dearly and was always curious of their lives, whether near or far, even as the family grew. She was a native of Plaquemine, Louisiana, and was raised primarily in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Istrouma High School and LSU. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bobby Chambers, and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and great great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Effie Carlin, sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Roland Guidry, brother and sister-in-law, Wilfred and Helen Carlin, and brother, Kenward Carlin.
