
Anthony Joseph Russo Sr., 74, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, surrounded by his loving family at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Mr. Russo was a successful CPA, whose practice spanned more than 40 years. In addition to the passion he held for his profession, he enjoyed tending his vegetable garden, playing cards, fishing and especially, spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce Norris Russo; daughter, Theresa Russo; son, Anthony Russo Jr.; son, Paul Russo and wife Michelle; son, Stephen Russo and wife Chari; and grandchildren: Lauryn, Ryan, Jordyn, Anthony III, Alexandra and Marisa Russo. He is also survived by his brother, Vincent Russo Sr. and wife Lorena; sister, Joan Russo May and husband William; sister-in-law, Beatrice Russo; aunt, Marie Pastiro Territo; brother-in-law, Dorman Norris, of Gorum; brother-in-law, Gerald Norris and wife Juanita, of Deville; brother-in-law, Huey Norris and wife Dorothy, of Georgetown; sister-in-law, Mildred Norris Hayes; sister-in-law, Mary Moody Norris, of Ball; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by his parents, Neno and Josie Pastiro Russo; brothers, Peter Russo and John Russo Sr.; sister, Josephine Russo Schillaci; and three infant grandchildren. His sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Road, Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 8:30 a.m. until funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Graveside service will be private.
