Arlene Grimmer Smith died on July 4 at 11:36 P.M. She was a native of Cicero, Illinois and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1969. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. on Sunday, July 9 from 5 PM to 9 PM. Eastern Star services at 7 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 10 at 9:00 AM with religious services conducted by Reverend Kim Little-Brooks at 10:00. Interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy at 12 pm. Survived by cousins; lifelong friend, Lillian Schein of Sarasota, Florida, and a godson, Guy Rossberg of Green Lake, Wisconsin. She was retired from Louisiana National Bank Trust Dept. and was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Myrtle Celeste Chapter No. 231. She was preceded in death by husband, Herbert W. Smith and parents, Alma Meinert Grimmer and Leo M. Grimmer.
