She was a retired office manager for Ethyl Corp. with 40 years service. She was a native of Columbia and a resident of Baton Rouge. Audrey died at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, at age 88. She was a graduate of Columbia High School and a charter member of Goodwood Baptist Church. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Graveside service at Welcome Home Cemetery, Columbia, at 2 p.m. Friday, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home, Columbia. She is survived by a niece, Jo Allen Haney; and nephew, Freddy Thompson. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Matthew Meredith; parents, Hugh and Claudia Hudson Thompson; and brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Marjorie Thompson.
