She was born on February 26, 1945, in Ambridge, PA, to John Cymbalak and Mildred Lubic Cymbalak. In 1964, Audrey met the love of her life, David Rodriguez. Audrey and David started off as pen pals and after a couple of months they decided to meet. David was stationed at Fort Benning, GA. Audrey met him in Pittsburgh, PA. They fell in love. On August 14, 1965 they got married. For 58 years they stood by each other till the end.
Audrey is survived by her husband, David; sons, Tim (Lynn), David Jr. (Craig), Tom (Ashleigh), Joe (Christen); grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred, and brothers, Nick and John.
She leaves behind four sisters, Mary Shepherd- Austin, TX, Janice Black- FT Myers FL, Mildred Jackson- Aiken SC, Marcie Jean- Melbourne, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Audrey's career consisted of being an Army wife, mother, teacher and civil servant for the State of Louisiana.
Audrey's proudest achievement is her writing. She had 5 books published; Theodore Da Baer series, A Cajun Crawfish Tale and The Cycle of Life. Audrey enjoy sharing these stories with her grandchildren and children in schools throughout the state of Louisiana. Audrey also enjoyed playing Bingo and traveling.
Visitation will be Friday, February 23, 2024 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East.
