

"Gus Guarino, born November 7, 1926, a native of Baton Rouge, Gus passed away in Allen, Texas, on December 7, 2017. A Navy veteran of World War II and an avid LSU fan, Gus worked for many years as a master electrician for Saia Electric. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Loretta Gulino Guarino; his brothers, Joseph and Dominic Guarino; and his second wife, Marie Cappo Guarino. Gus is survived by his sister, Ruth Bourgeois; his daughter, Karen Blunt; grandchildren, Stephanie Brieden, Jason Lillie; great-grandchildren, Libby Brieden, Luke Brieden, Reagan, Gus and Dominic Lillie; stepchildren, Moochie Spruill, Rusty Cappo, and David Cappo; step-grandchildren, Kelley Kleinpeter and Lori Broussard; step-great-grandchildren, Taylor Watts and Chandler Kleinpeter, Quinten Cappo, Noah and Hanna Broussard, Aaron Fisk, Marcelle Ivy and Sean Braswell; and great-great-grand babies, Charlie Marie Watts and Ella Cappo. Gus was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, Monday, December 11, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with recitation of a Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, La., at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 12th, 2017. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
