

Barbara Sue Haney Pinsonat passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the age of 77. She was born in Clinton, LA, and was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA, until recently moving to Hattiesburg, MS, with her daughter’s family. Barbara was a proud 1965 graduate of Istrouma High School and retired from AT&T Wireless. She was married to the love of her life, Charles “Blue” Kermit Pinsonat, for 40 wonderful years. Together, they built a life full of laughter, love, and lasting memories. Barbara was always up for a road trip or a new adventure. Whether it was a spontaneous drive or a carefully planned getaway, she loved to travel and never passed up the chance to explore somewhere new. She was also a longtime member of a close-knit Pokeno group, playing faithfully with the same amazing group of friends for over 40 years—a tradition she truly treasured. Her warmth and caring personality will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing her. Barbara is survived by her children, Brian Keith Pinsonat and wife, Angie, and Stacey Lynn Wylie and husband, Duane; grandchildren, Brian Charles Wylie, Corey Blake Wylie, and Sam Michael Perise; brother, Gary Lynn Haney and wife, Sue; and a host of other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Blue” Kermit Pinsonat; and parents, Milburn “Buddy” and Evelyn Haney. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 12pm until the time of funeral services at 2pm. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
