On Sunday, May 8, 2011, Beatrice Hayward Flowers received her angel wings and rejoined her husband, John E. Flowers Sr., with the Lord. She was born March 17, 1928, in Boston, to Charles and Bessie Hayward. Beatrice worked as a nurse for many years and was of the Episcopalian faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Woodville, Miss., at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mary Ann Heine. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Survived by her son, Bruce Flowers and his wife, Rhonda; grandson, Austin Flowers and his wife, Kim; granddaughter, Jori and her boyfriend, James Neese; son, John E. Flowers Jr. and his wife, Diane; sister, Jean Steward; family friend, Frances Smooth; and numerous nieces and nephews. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
