Ben Woodward died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at age 26. He was the son of Benjamin Woodward Sr. and Mary Pecue Woodward. Ben grew up in Denham Springs and had recently lived in Baton Rouge. As a child, he enjoyed weekends at Granny Pecue's home with his cousins and brother. Ben also enjoyed playing baseball and basketball at North Park. Ben is survived by his parents, Benjamin and Mary Woodward; and grandmother, Algie Mae Pecue. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Cody Woodward; grandparents, Henry F. Pecue Sr., Helina Gertrude Woodward and Bura Jackson Woodward; and aunt, Rose Woodward. Pallbearers will be Larry Pecue, Michael Pecue, Henry Pecue III, Wayne Kelly, Larry "Tuttor" Pecue Jr., Shane Mike, Chris Adams and Blake Lafleur. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, Sept. 10, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. until services at 2 p.m., conducted by Deacon Albert Ellis followed by interment in Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North St.
