Bernal P. Bacon

Bernal Peter Bacon, native of Louisiana and resident of Amite County, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Wilkinson County Nursing Home in Centreville, Mississippi. He was born June 26, 193 in Plaucheville, Louisiana and the son of the late Mr. Oscar and Mrs. Eunice Kimbal Bacon.

He was a maintenance supervisor with the Louisiana Department of Corrections, a member of Enterprise Baptist Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Raye Wilkinson Baon; son, Darrell Bacon and wife Patty; daughter, Debbie Staples and husband Douge; son, Bruce Bacon and wife Mary; son, Mike Hudson; daughter Robin Deville and husband Bubby; son Mark Hudson and wife Angie; grandchildren, Ricky, Daniel, Jennifer, Devon, Tiffany, Ryan, Justin, Kaycie, Diana, Danielle, Jean, John; great grandchildren, Zoie, Zachary, Seth, Dakota, Kylar, Christian, Gracey, Destini, Brycen, Kymber, Hayden, Aubree and Ava.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Eunice Bacon and one grandson, Brad Bacon.

Visitation is Monday, May 7, 2018 at Enterprise Baptist Church near Liberty, Mississippi from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Tuesday at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge from 9:00am until time of funeral service at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
