Bertha G. Soileau, 82, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of New Roads, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., (225) 925-5331, on Friday, Oct. 21, from noon until service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Mrs. Bertha is survived by three daughters, Rita Darnell Soileau and fiancé Rawlin Carter, Karen Ann and Mike Bergeaux and Judy Soileau; three sons, Glenn Allen and wife Carlotta Soileau, Terry Eugene Soileau and Michael Keith Soileau and fiancée M'Shell Turman; sister, Doris and husband Clarence Cooper; grandchildren, Joshua, Danielle, Christian, Jean Marc, Gabrielle, Michelle, Tony, Aaron, Jarrod, Jennifer, Janelle and Madison; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Alexis, Tyler, Laine, Jordyn, Michael and Skyler Soileau. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emile and Eunice Gremillion; husband, Elmo Allen Soileau; and sons, Jerry Lynn Soileau and Danny James Soileau. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
