Betty Hanks

Betty left this world on Saturday, October 15, 2022, to join the love of her life, Irvin W. Hanks, Jr. She was born at home in Melville, Louisiana to Mary Todora Gulino. She retired from Bank One in 1999 with 31 years of service as an Executive Assistant. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Natalie Diez (Dale), Cheryl Hanks, Karen Martens (AL), Jan Murray (David); sons, Craig Myers, Keith Myers (Mary), and Darryl Hanks; brothers, Nathan Gulino (Lee), and Carl Gulino; grandchildren, Daniel Martens, Sean Hanks, Landon Murray, and Nicole Klasen (Ryan); great-grandchild. Eloise Klasen; and her beloved pet, Angel. Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Irvin W. Hanks Jr.; her mother, Mary Todora Gulino. The family would like to give a special thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Lisa Doge and Charhonda Brown, who were there from the beginning; her nurses from Hospice of Baton Rouge, Kim and Mona and all the aides that treated with care and kindness; and to Brenda Todd and Erika who cared for her during her final moments. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The Entombment will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
