

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, La.
She dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. As a stay at home mom, she spent her days caring for her family and making sure everyone was taken care of before herself. Her home was always a place of comfort, love, and support.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially eating or talking about a good meal and spending time shopping at Walmart, Rouses, and Winn-Dixie. She found joy in everyday moments making you laugh about the things she would say. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Her kindness, generosity, and caring nature touched everyone who knew her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and selflessness that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Betty is survived by Daughter; Denice Comeaux Skinner and husband Tim, Sons; Randy Hidalgo and wife Lisa, and Perry Hidalgo, Grandchildren; Elizabeth Skinner, Brett and Claire Hidalgo, as well as Sister-In-Laws; Mary Dipuma and Donna Dipuma
She is preceded in death by Husband; Caffery Joseph “CJ” or “Jay” Hidalgo, Parents; Louis Dipuma Sr. and Agnes Labello, Infant sister, Katherine Dipuma, Brothers; Ronnie Dipuma, Louis Dipuma Jr., and Lucas Dipuma Sr., Sisters; Katherine Rita Dipuma, Louise Collins, Rosemary Pourciau, and Anna Mae Welborn,
Pallbearers will be, Grandson, Brett Hidalgo, Son-In-Law, Tim Skinner, as well as nephews; Daryl Pourciau, Mark Collins, Jimmy Welborn, Michael Dipuma. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nephews, Doug Welborn and John “Coker” Welborn.
Relatives and friends are invited to St. George Catholic Church, on Saturday, July 18, 2026 for a visitation beginning at 9:00AM until the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00AM. Burial is to follow at the St. George Catholic Church Mausoleum.
