Betty Lasyone Johnston passed peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the age of 91. She was born December 10, 1928, in Montgomery, Louisiana, and a resident of Central. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and great-great-grandmother and will forever be remembered for the wonderful meals she cooked, especially during the holidays. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert W. Johnston; parents, Milton and Mae Lasyone; brothers, Roy Lasyone and Archie Lasyone; sisters, Mae Belle Lasyone and Louise Middleton; and grandson, Derek Torres. She is survived by her children, Linda Reed; Jerry (Barbara) Torres; Nelda Torres; Darrell Torres; Danny (Shelly) Torres; Donnie (Twana) Torres; Kathy Schramm; Stephanie (Tim) LeBlanc; and Dana (Jimmy) Williams; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Nick; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m.to noon with graveside service following at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
