Born on June 28, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, Betty devoted much of her life to her home and family. She shared 63 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Robert M. Klenke, and together they built a life centered on family, faith, and many cherished memories.
Betty was a gifted painter with a true love for creating beautiful works of art. Painting was more than a pastime for her; it was a talent through which she expressed herself and something that brought her great joy throughout her life. The paintings she created will remain treasured by her family as lasting reminders of her remarkable talent and creativity.
Betty also found great enjoyment in spending time around her pond and tending to her flowers. She appreciated the simple pleasures of being outdoors and caring for the spaces she loved. Betty was active in the Pond Society of Calcasieu Parish and a past president. She was treasurer of the Certified Public Accountants' Wives Club of West Calcasieu Parish. She received an award as a volunteer in the resource room for visually impaired children in Calcasieu Parish Schools.
A woman of Catholic faith, Betty treasured her family above all else. She is survived by her husband, Robert M. Klenke; three sons, Michael R. Klenke and wife Anne, John P. Klenke and wife Tracy, and Allan Klenke and wife Libby; four grandchildren, Casey Klenke, Gabe Klenke, Sam Klenke, and Emma Klenke; and her brother, Terry Ullman and wife Edona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Ullman and Maureen Maurine Angelina Rimkus Ullman.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln, Baton Rouge, LA 70816 on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 10AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge.
Betty will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, her creativity, and the beautiful works of art she leaves behind. Her paintings and the memories she created with those she loved will continue to be cherished for generations.
