Betty Ann Weimer of Gueydan, Louisiana lived big and loved bigger. Born September 20, 1952, Betty spent her 73 years fostering incredible friendships and experiences around the world. On May 16, 2026, surrounded by loved ones, she unfurled her angel wings and kissed the hearts of her family she left behind: her husband Ben Weimer, children Mindy (Greg Shortreed) and Becky (Keith Kachtick), and grandchildren Myla, Cade, and Daxton Shortreed. Betty was reunited with her family who went before her: parents L.E. and Nita Hughes, and siblings Gary, Babo, and Wanda. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, May 19th at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on 2025 Stuart Ave., Baton Rouge LA. Visitation starts at 9:30am, mass at 11:00am.
