Bettye M. Holmes Wilson “Ms. BMW” – Bettye Marie Holmes Wilson, 62, affectionately known as “Betty Mae” died May 13, 2014. She was a long-time resident of Stockton, CA and a native of Baton Rouge, LA. A devoted educator, counselor and licensed evangelist, she practiced each with passion, vigor and faith. She is survived by three sons: Rainar Christopher Wilson, Randyll Isaac Wilson and Christian Isaiah Fortier; granddaughter Mya Wilson; four brothers Charlie W. Holmes and wife Wilma, Randolph Holmes, Keith A. Holmes, and Larry Wilson and wife Pamela; three sisters: Ella H. Kelly, Jacqueline H. Jackson and husband James, and LaRita H. Munier and husband Donald; and a host of relatives and godchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Isaac, Sr. and Ella P. Holmes; grandparents Sarah Brooks and Willie Perkins, Sr.; one brother, Isaac Holmes, Jr.; two sisters Yvonne Holmes and Doris H. Thyssen; and a special niece, Shannon Roenette Holmes. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 10:00am until time of services at 12:00pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
