Buddy joined the Airforce in 1951 and was stationed in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was sent to Panama City, Florida for training and met his precious wife of 63 years, Ann Sperry in 1954. They married and returned to New Mexico where their first child Michael was born.
Buddy was discharged from the Airforce in 1956 and returned to Baton Rouge to work with his father “Papa Joe” at Hair Flying Service. He sold planes to LSU and became their pilot during the time of Jim Corbett, Charles McClendon, and Paul Dietzel. He had the time of his life flying some of their greatest athletes. He was a very proud Tiger Fan with 62 years of prefect attendance at Tiger Stadium. He served on the grounds crew for LSU Baseball and faithfully raked 3rd base for over 25 years. He loved everything about LSU: the fans, games, players, and coaches.
In 1980 Buddy & Ann bought Vacajun Marina in Springfield where they enjoyed many happy years living on the river. Buddy made an incredible impact on everyone he met, and he will be greatly missed by family and friends!
