

Billy H. Lyon, born September 9, 1927 in Dallas, TX, died December 24, 2015. Resident of Baton Rouge since 1956. Survived by his wife, Emily Knight Lyon, children Cheryl Lyon Estes of Brookshire, TX, Michael C. Lyon of Pembroke Pines, FL, Janet Lyon Anderson and step-children David S. Dick of Dallas, TX and Carolyn Dick Doiron. Grandchildren Monica Lyon Davis, Jamie Lyon, Ashley Lyon, Garrett Hardin, Jeremy Lyon, Jacob Lyon, Sara Lyon, Rachel Anderson Klein, Evan Anderson, Chris Comeaux, Erin Comeaux Humphrey, and Craig Comeaux, numerous great-grandchildren, and sister, Martha Blalock of Tyler, Texas. Preceded in death by parents Hubert C. Lyon and Thelma Pledger Smith and son, Donald W. Lyon. Billy was retired from General Health, Inc. and was a veteran serving in U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force Reserves. He was a 1952 graduate of the University of Texas. Founder of Junior Achievement program in Baton Rouge, 1956 and an active member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class, as well as an usher at 11:00 a.m. service. Pallbearers will be Chris Comeaux, Craig Comeaux, Jonathan Comeaux, Duane Craig, Mike Doiron and Mark Humphrey. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a Masonic service at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Broadmoor United Methodist Church from 9:30am until funeral services at 10:30am officiated by Rev. Ken Carroll. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
