

Bobbie Lynell Lee Simons, age 92, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025. Visitation will be at First United Methodist Church, 6109 LA Hwy. 311, Houma, LA, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the FUMC Fellowship Hall. Bobbie was born on September 27, 1932, and was from Oak Grove, LA. She met her husband, Richard, at Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe. They were married in 1957 and started their marriage in Germany while Richard was serving in the U.S. Army. They returned to south Louisiana, where Richard worked in the oilfield for 42 years and, at the time of retirement, they owned their own business, Mud Mart. They resided in Houma where Bobbie enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends, taking care of grandchildren, sewing, cooking, and growing roses. They were married 61 years. After Richard’s death in 2018, Bobbie moved closer to family in Baton Rouge and was residing at the Williamsburg Senior Living Community at the time of her death. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Lively of Baton Rouge and Nancy Faucheux and husband John of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren, Rick Lively and wife, Linh, Rebecca Lively, Noah Lively, Janelle Faucheux Green and husband, Matthew and Michael Faucheux and wife, Corinne; and great-grandchildren, Anna Lively, Graham Green and Charlotte Green. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Houston Lee; sister, Sarrah Green; and son-in-law, Allen Lively.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the First United Methodist Church of Houma, 6109 LA Hwy. 311, Houma, LA, 70360. Greenoaks Funeral Home handled arrangements.
