Bobby L. Chambers

Bobby L. Chambers, age 95, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026. Born in Denham Springs, Louisiana, he made his cherished home in Baton Rouge. A proud veteran of the United States Armed Forces, Bobby honorably served his country during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 66 years, Annie Lou Carlin; his parents, Winnie and George; his brothers, Clifford, Harold, and Edward; and his sisters, Muncie Allen and Sis Minton.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his dearly loved canine companion, Lucy.

Bobby was a true gentleman—kind, wise, and loving. He showed deep respect and honor to the Lord in all that he did. He held a treasure trove of memories from times past, which he always shared with immense enthusiasm. Deeply concerned for the health and happiness of everyone he knew, he was a gentle soul who ultimately longed for heaven and his reunion with his Annie.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to his wonderful neighbors, John and Sadie Williams, and his extended family members, Pat and Don Wall, for the incredible kindness, love, and countless meals they provided for him throughout his lifetime. Their steadfast support brought immense comfort to Bobby.

Graveside services will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home in the Gardenview Mausoleum at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30th.
