Brooke Ashley Stimac

Brooke Ashley Stimac, age 22, of Central, LA died in an automobile accident in East Baton Rouge Parish the evening of February 3, 2011. Brooke was born September 27, 1988 in Baton Rouge to Jon and Mary Stimac, residents of Central, LA. Brooke graduated from Central High School in 2006. She attended Baton Rouge Community College and received her Associate of Applied Science degree with honors in Process Technology in 2009. Brooke had several jobs while attending school including working for the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Courts and Don’s Seafood Restaurant. Most recently, she was in an apprentice program with the Baton Rouge City-Parish Department of Public Works. Brooke was active in sports and loved to play softball. She was an avid LSU fan and loved to tailgate. Brooke attended Bethany World Prayer Center in Baton Rouge. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her precious nieces Emmory and Arwyn in Texas. Brooke’s life ended much too soon, but her short life was filled to overflowing with her boundless love of family and friends and her caring and generous heart. Her gift of life was her capacity to love from the bottom of her heart and show that love in endless ways. She had an abundance of friends and a family who adored her. She will also be missed by her cherished dog, Beau. Her death has left a void that can never be filled. Brooke is survived by parents Jon and Mary Stimac of Central, LA; her sister Lindsey and brother-in-law Brian Saba and her nieces Emmory and Arwyn Saba of Seabrook, TX; her Grandmother Ann Stimac of Greenwell Springs, LA; Grandfather Charles L. Stimac of Leesville, LA; Grandfather Harold Foreman and wife Nita of Liberty, MS; special Aunts, Uncles and Cousins including Pauline and Gerald Metcalf and daughters Katie and Christy of La Porte, TX, Liz and Larry Myrick and son Stefan of Clinton, LA, Cassandra Stimac and Bobby Taylor of Jackson, LA ,Jason Stimac of Prarieville, LA, Justin Shankle of Sunset, LA, Josh Shankle of Zachary, LA , Charles and Kay Stimac and daughter Courtney of Dugspur, VA, Heidi Pope of Brandon, FL and Casey Stimac of Baker, LA. Brooke was preceded in death by her Grandmother Bernice Foreman and Cousin Jeremy Wendt. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 5 pm until 9 pm and will resume on Tuesday from 10 am until religious services at 12 noon.
