Calvin Acy Wells

Calvin Acy Wells, 82, a native of Albany, LA and a resident of Greenwell Springs, LA passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, Calvin was a U.S. Army Sgt. Veteran and a retired employee with South Central Bell/AT&T after 35 years with the company. He was a longtime member of Grace Family Church where he served as music director for 17 years, head usher and Board Member. He is survived by his wife of 53 years LaDonice Zachary Wells; daughters: Karen Wells Kuylen and husband Timothy, and Stacy Wells Dial and husband Joseph; brother Cloy Wells and wife Shirley; sons-in-law: Andy Hunter and Lonnie Tarver; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Myrtle Wells; daughters Sharon Wells Hunter and Dorothy “DeeDee” Wells Tarver; and 8 siblings. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 5pm until 8pm and continuing on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 10am until service time at 12pm. Interment will following in Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Calvin’s honor to Grace Family Church 13268 Denham Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70818.
