

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Mat. 11:28. Surrounded by family, Camille Richard stepped into her eternal home at the age of 93 on Friday, April 1, 2016. Born on August 11, 1922 in Thibodeaux, Camille moved to Baton Rouge at the age of nineteen when she married her husband, Emile. With a servant’s heart, Camille led a life that paid tribute to God, family, and the LSU Tigers. She was one of the original members of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. Camille was preceded in death by her husband, Emile Joseph Richard; son, Dale Joseph Richard; great-grandson, Jacques Mayeux Veillon; siblings Ludger Prince, Josie Vicknair, Raymond Prince, Doyle Prince, and Betty Landry. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Barbara and Don Mayeux of Eunice, LA, Patricia Richard, Wayne and Sue Hatcher, Jay Richard, Mike and Glenda Richard of Summit, MS, and Steve Richard, as well as 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grand children, and 2 great great-grandchildren. The family wants to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Camille’s youngest son, Stevie, who gave tirelessly to the loving care of his mother for many years and to the St. George Fire Department who responded to numerous calls for assistance. Pallbeares will be Ryan Richard, Sean Richard, Trey Caswell, Vaughan Veillon, Dustin Cutrer, Austin Moses, Cole Hatcher, Sayer Sauviac. Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Richard and Trace Abdul-Hadi. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, April 4th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 5th, 2016 at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 10:00am, burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
