

A resident of Central, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at the age 89. Mr. Watts is survived by his children, Debra Watts Soulier and Marc Watts; stepchildren, Jimmy Dominick, Gwen Dominick Theriot, Kathy R. Cannon, and Rusty and Mike Rogillio; three grandchildren, Candace Soulier Taylor, Alyssa Watts Malham, and Joshua Watts; two step-grandchildren, Devon Dominick Osborn and Tasha Theriot Buchler; four great grandchildren, Connor and Cameron Taylor, and Jaxon and Asa Watts; and two step great grandchildren, Madison and Brandon Buchler. Preceded in death by his wives, Hettie E. Watts and Dorothy G. Watts; parents, Ulla and Mary Watts; a sister and four brothers. Mr. Carney was on the first football team in Central where he served as Captain his Senior year and a LSU graduate, class of 1960, with a BS in Business/Accounting. He was also a US Army veteran, and proudly served during the Korean War and a dedicated member of Francis Asbury UMC serving as part of the UMM and the Board of Trustees. Mr. Watts worked over 40 years as manager for Truck Service in Prairieville, La. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. and will resume on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by Pastor Mia Freneaux of Francis Asbury UMC.
