

Carolyn Jane Parker Culotta, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 9th at her home after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on February 11, 1944 in Asbury Park, New Jersey. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home filled with joy, laughter, and the aroma of home cooked meals. She married the love of her life Mike Culotta and together they celebrated 60 years of marriage. Together they built a life rich in faith, love and companionship, creating a strong foundation for their family. Their union was blessed with three children whom Carolyn cherished deeply. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her eight grandsons, with whom she spent countless cherished moments. Her home was a haven of unconditional love and wisdom and she took great pride in teaching her grandsons the values of kindness, perseverance and faith. Carolyn’s legacy of love, kindness and dedication to her family will continue to inspire all who knew her. Carolyn enjoyed playing bridge and having lunch monthly with her dear friends. Summers were always special times for Carolyn as she loved spending them at the beach with her grandsons creating memories that will be treasured forever. Watching the beautiful sunsets over the Choctawhatchee Bay was the highlight of her day. She also enjoyed the country life and spending time at her farmhouse in Magnolia, MS.
Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband Mike; her children Debbie Culotta Maddox (Jimmy), Mike Culotta Jr. and Scott Culotta (Denise); eight grandsons: Johnathan, Andrew and Jake Maddox; and Mario, Sammy, Angelo, Dominic and Gino Culotta; and her sister Beth Parker Hudson and her daughter Lacye. She was preceded in death by her mother Elsie King Parker, her father Milton Leon Parker and her brother Wayne Parker.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice and the nurses especially Jaime and Melissa for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be at St. Agnes Church, 749 East Blvd. on Friday, June 14th from 10:00 am to 12:00pm, followed by a funeral mass at 12:00 pm celebrated by Fr. Jeff Bayhi. Burial will be at Green Oaks Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Agnes organ restoration fund, St. Joseph Hospice or metanoia-inc.org
