Carolyn L Mitchell

She was a graduate of Patterson High School. She loved daily bible study, traveling in the RV, the LSU Tigers, and watching the New Orleans Saints. She was a homemaker that loved her family to no end, especially her grandchildren, who could do no wrong.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert (Bob) E. Mitchell; son, Hilton Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Leah Mitchell; daughter, Penny Van Pelt (husband Chris); grandchildren, Caleb Van Pelt (wife Brandi), Madeline Van Pelt, Amanda Mitchell, and Robert Mitchell; brother, Philip Dozier (wife Judy); sister, Shirley Zahn (husband Carl); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Evelyn Dozier; and sister, Barbara Williamson.

Visiting hours will be observed on Monday, March 14, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Visiting hours will resume on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 9 am until services at 10 am.

Interment to follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
