

Carolyn 82, a resident of Baton Rouge, died Wednesday November 14, 2012. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Sunday November 18, 2012 from 2 p.m. until Memorial Service at 4 p.m. Carolyn was born October 22, 1930 in Harrisburg, PA, to Guy and Eleanor Bogardus. She was raised in Bethel Park, PA. On May 1, 1953, she married Kenneth Ray Wagner. In 1968, they moved their young family from Elrama, PA to Baton Rouge. Carolyn worked as a long-distance telephone operator for AT&T. She liked to joke that she went to work part-time to help pay for a new color TV. Several years and televisions later, she eventually retired from AT&T. Carolyn's love and passion was her family. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do or sacrifice for them. She was preceded in death by father and mother; brother, Guy Bogardus; daughter, Bonnie Wolak; grandson, Terry Polcawich; and granddaughter, Angel Chedville. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth R. Wagner, of Baton Rouge; three children: Karen Rudolph and husband Vic of Durango, Colorado, Lori Chedville and husband Eddie of Gonzales, and Kenny Wagner of Broomfield, Colorado; sister, Janice McCallie of Lake Placid, NY; and two grandchildren, Brian Polcawich and Brad Chedville.
