

Carroll Webb Fletcher, 91, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away 12-31-13 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 1/2 years, Margaret Wardlaw Fletcher, son Richard Webb Fletcher and wife Pam, daughter Kathy Lynn Fletcher, son Darrell Lee Fletcher and wife Stefanie, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Carroll was born in Hammond, Louisiana on October 16, 1922 to Augusta Pippin and George Fletcher. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. Monday, January 6, 2014 beginning at 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 10:00am until services in the funeral home chapel at 12:00pm conducted by the Reverend Hawley Wolfe of the Broadmoor Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Proceeded in death by his mother, Augusta Pippin, father, George Fletcher, twin brother, Robert Fletcher, brother Louis Fletcher, sisters, Grace Hutchinson, Lucille Bernard and Lois Adams. Carroll was a Navy Seabee and WWII veteran. Carroll loved his family and enjoyed his life to the fullest. He retired from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Department in 1985 with more than 25 years of service. He was a member of the Broadmoor Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to Hospice of Baton Rouge or Broadmoor Presbyterian Church.
