Catherine Ann Kliebert Marino was born in Vacherie, Louisiana, on March 4, 1934. She later moved to Baton Rouge and lived there until her passing on October 16, 2021. Catherine graduated from Istrouma High School and retired as a bookkeeper, but she was most involved in her beloved St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a proud member of the Catholic daughters at St. Jude and loved working for the church and the Lord. As a peace maker who always followed the ways of our Lord, it was through her love for God she taught many lessons to her loved ones and often sewed dolls to donate to the OLOL Children’s Hospital. Catherine had a great love for all of her family and spoke highly of them often. Some of her happiest moments were spent visiting family such as PaPa and Aunt G in Vacherie where she grew up. Most of all, Catherine was a loving, devoted wife to her "Tootsie", Biaggio C. Marino Sr., for 44 years until the Lord called him home in 1997 and a dedicated mother to her six children, whom she loved and supported without bounds. Proud to call Catherine “mom” is her son, Biaggio C. "Blaze" Marino Jr. (Shirley), and five daughters, Cathy Marino Romero (Kenneth), Pamela Marino Gaudin (Danny), Rosana “Toni” Marino LaBouliere, Jerri Marino, and Lottie Marino Cobb (Doug). She also has 21 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild proud to call her Mawmaw. Catherine is also survived by her sisters, Helen Stevens of Zachary and Patricia DiPietro Landry of Baton Rouge; brothers, Henry Kliebert of Zachary and Allen Kliebert of Pine Grove. She was preceded in death by her father, Eno Kliebert; mother, Lottie Favaron Kliebert DiPietro; stepfather, Sam DiPietro; and grandsons, Ricky LaBouliere and Jared Adcock. All family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, October 21, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church which begins at 9:30, followed by Mass at 11, conducted by Father Trey. Rosary will be held at 10:30. Catherine will be buried next to her husband in Port Hudson National Cemetery at 1 pm. Pallbearers include David LaBouliere, Jake Cobb, Jordan Adcock, Jon Romero, Chris LaBouliere, and Brock LaBouliere. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area in Catherine’s name.
