Catherine A. Modicut

Catherine Ann Cambre Modicut, went to be in her new home in Heaven with our Lord & his Mother Mary on Monday, December 4, 2017. Catherine worked for L.N.B. Bank, Premier for 23 years and East Baton Rouge School Board for 6 ½ years. She graduated from Baton Rouge High School and Spencer Business College. Catherine loved her Catholic faith and St. Agnes Parish. She was an active member of the Alter Society, Eucharist Minister and Catholic Daughters. Catherine lived for her family. She will be missed very much. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald Modicut; 3 sons, Jerry, Mark (Allison) and Todd (Tammy); daughter, Kim (Keith) Minvielle; 8 grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew (Courtney), A’layne Minvielle, Taylor, Paige Modicut, Derek (Heather) Modicut , Kayla (Jordan) Wilkinson and Adrian Modicut; 3 great-grandchildren, Brody Alan Gregoire, Ryleigh Elizabeth Modicut and Audrey Modicut; 3 sisters, Thelma Diffey, Evelyn Frederick & Lorraine (Gaston) Gerald. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. Cambre, Sr. & Mary Helen Arceneaux Cambre; a brother, J.D. Cambre, Jr.; Sylvia Gautreau and Helen LeBlanc; and 2 infant sisters, & 1 infant brother. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 6 pm- 9 pm. Visitation will resume at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Darrell Gerald, Tommy Yoes, Dr. Michael Hodgeson, Randy LeBlanc, Derek Modicut and Andrew Minvielle. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Carpenter House and the Heart and Vascular Unit on the 8th floor of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
