
Albert Cecil Doyle Sr. passed away on Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at his home. He was president and owner of The Cecil Doyle Co., an industrial sales company that operated in the Gulf states from 1959-1999. This April, he was honored at a reunion crawfish boil, which was organized by Donna Suire and attended by a large number of former employees. Cecil graduated from LSU and was a lifelong Tiger fan and TAF member. He was a longtime participant in yearly Manressa retreats. A recent convert to the Catholic faith, he was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish and the Order of the Holy Sepulcher. Preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Doris Doyle, who were of Shreveport; wife of 39 years, Barbara Rawls Doyle; daughter, Rachel Doyle Vegas Reilly; and second wife, Florence Forte Doyle. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Keith Schilling; son and daughter-in-law, Albert C. and Loretta Doyle, of Huntsville, Texas; brother, Raymond Doyle and wife Gloria; grandchildren, Greg Schilling and wife Courtney, Aimee Schilling, Larissa Doyle Rangel, Lauren Doyle, A.C. Doyle III, Kailynne Vegas and Jessica Vegas; great-grandchildren, Donovan, Jayla and Rachel; and stepgrandchildren, Alex and Abby Hayes. Thank you to St. Luke's Episcopal Friday Bible Study for all their help during the last few months; Cecil looked forward to your fellowship and valued your friendships. A special thank you to Cecil's dear friend, Ms. Shirley Demler, for all her time and support. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., on Thursday from 9 a.m. until service at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park will follow Mass.
