A resident of Baton Rouge and native of Fairfield, Ala., she passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011, at age 85. She was a retired bookkeeper and a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church. After her retirement, Celeste spent her time in various needlework activities. Although she was a member of several professional organizations, her favorite thing was participating in the Krewe of Romany where she served as ball captain in 1980. There was nothing she enjoyed more than having lunch with "her ladies" in the Les Captainnes Club made up of former ball captains. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Frank Malesic; daughter, Denise Malesic; and grandson, Kevin Richardson. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen M. Richardson. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Sunday, April 24, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visiting at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 715 East Blvd., Monday, April 25, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by Monsignor Robert Berggreen. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd. The family would like to thank Dr. Glen Schwartzberg, Dr. Jeff Moonan and Dr. Kurt Graves for their wonderful care over the years.
