
A retired chemical operator from Stauffer Chemical/Rhodia, he died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, in Baton Rouge. He was 89 and a resident and native of Maringouin. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps decorated veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Jan. 27, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Maringouin on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Sanjai, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Eleanor Waguespack Lefeaux; seven daughters and spouses, Janet and Orville O'Quinn, Kathy and Johnny Simoneaux, Donna and Henry Gueho, Evelyn Miller, Martha and Randy Wells, Linda and J. Easterly and Darlene and Chris Reine; five sons and spouses, Charles Jr. and Beth Lefeaux, Bill Lefeaux and Jennifer Landry, Keith and Eileen Lefeaux, David and Brenda Lefeaux and Eddie and Renee Lefeaux; sister, June Stewart; 29 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edwin and Lillian Gomez Lefeaux; sisters, Nannie Brown, Jerry Blanchard and Doris Langlois; brother, Eddie Lee Lefeaux; and sons-in-law, Charles Miller and W.O. Dowden. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 2807 and an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors.
