

Charles was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the age of 79. He was born in Hattiesburg, MS and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Charles was known to always be happy and would be found constantly laughing and showing his unique smile. He was a huge jokester and loved to make others laugh by telling jokes and stories. Charles was strong in his faith and loved his church and was a faithful member of Zoar Baptist Church for over 20 years. He worked as a Boilermaker for most of his life and retired at the age of 62 from BASF. Charles has also been a proud member of the Boiler Makers Union for 38 years. He was a big gift giver and enjoyed helping those in need. He enjoyed tending to his garden and would always be found sitting in his swing enjoying the peace and quiet of the outdoors. Charles was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his two sons, Curtis Breazeale (Shelley) and Vincent Breazeale; two stepdaughters, Cindy Reed and Donna Babbitt; sisters, Jean Amacker (Cecil) and Eulamae Ricks (Joe); brother, Jimmy Breazeale (Frances); grandchildren, Shelbey Breazeale, Preslee Breazeale Davies (Curtis), Bobby Babbitt, Brett Babbitt, Aven Wilkins, Jackie Drake, and Tiffeny Evans; 9 great-grandchildren; and his special friend, Evelyn Blackwell. Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Breazeale; mother of his children, Barbara Jean Breazeale; brother, Gaston Breazeale; sister, Marie Johnson; parents, Lavelle and Oree Breazeale. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, September 17, 2022 held at Zoar Baptist Church, 11848 Hooper Rd, Baton Rouge, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. The interment will follow at Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery.
