"Charles Austin "Buck" Devillier, a native of Plaquemine, LA, and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the age of 95. He was the husband of the late VerteLee Patin Devillier and the loving father of Charles Devillier (Susan), James Devillier, Geralyn Thibodeaux (James), and Martha Devillier. He was grandfather of 11 children and great-grandfather of 16. He was a proud Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW Post 3784. A military service will take place at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mt. Pleasant Zachary Rd, Zachary, LA on Friday, August 17, 2018, at 11 AM. A reception will follow at the VFW Zachary Taylor Post 3784 Hall, 13214 S. Choctaw Dr., Baton Rouge, LA, at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Haven, Pinnacle Hospice and Clarity Hospice for their compassion and care.
