Passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at age 72. He was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, and retired from the State Department of Insurance. He is survived by his brothers, Dr. Kraemer L. Diel, Kendall Diel, D. Wayne Diel; five nephews; two nieces; and loving life-long companion Martha Kennedy. Preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Diel, Sr.; mother, Laura Fourrier Diel; brother, Dr. Winston B. Diel. There will be a private memorial service and burial.
