
Charles A. Hodges, a native of Bossier City and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at the age of 83. Mr. Hodges was a veteran of the Louisiana National Guard and retired from LaRoche Chemicals. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Oct. 16, was from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home Monday, Oct. 17, from 10 a.m. until funeral service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Mr. Hodges is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and ÒTinkerÓ McCrory; sister, Janette Hayden; sister-in-law, Sandra Hodges; four grandchildren, Travis and Paul McCrory, Douglas Sprouse and Christy Hilbun; four great-grandchildren, Tristen and Sheila McCrory, and Damien and Lily Sprouse; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Martha Hastings Hodges; daughter, Sheila Sprouse; parents, Earl and Lola Hodges; brothers, James and Dalton Hodges; brother-in-law, Donald Hayden; great-grandson, Paul J. McCrory Jr.; and nephew, Robin Hayden. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care given to Mr. Hodges by his special friend, Vera Aucoin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your charity of choice.
