Charles Bruce Norris

Charles Bruce Norris, 81, a native of Chadbourne, NC and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012. A loving family man, Charles enjoyed his time fishing, camping and listening to good music. He is survived by his wife, Mable Andrews Norris; son Charles S. Norris; daughters Libbey Hargett and husband Gary, and Shirley Vegas; step daughter Sherri Neely; step son Houston Laird and wife Shannon; granddaughters Ashley Norris, Megan Laird, Haley and Autumn Hargett; grandsons Curtis Laird, Cody and Tory Neely, Ashton Vegas, Forest, August and Evan Hargett; 3 great grandsons Bentlee Neely, Jayden Lathers, and Koltin Laird; and sister-in-law Mary Swift. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles D and Nell Engledow Norris; 2 brothers, a sister and a half sister. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 from 5pm until 9pm and continuing on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 8am until time of services at 10am. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Houston Laird, Curtis Laird, Cody Neely, Tory Neely, Nick Bacile, David Anderson and Justin Lathers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ashley Norris and Megan Laird.
