Charles passed peacefully on June 15, 2021, at the age of 77 surrounded by his loving family. Charles was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather. A graduate of Baton Rouge High School, Charles attended LSU before serving in the U.S. Air Force. Charles was a gifted draftsmen and carpenter. He loved drawing house plans then building the homes he designed. From a young age, Charles was an automotive enthusiast. He had a particular passion for Corvettes and helped form the Baton Rouge Corvette Club. His unwavering patience and generosity will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Charles is survived by his three sons Charles, Jr., Andrew, and Simon; two grandchildren, Tyler and Megan Pirello; his sister, Lisa Pirello Hingle; and wife of 30-years, Diane Simon Pirello. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Jasper J. Pirello and Angelina Lombardo Pirello; sisters, Rose Babin and Josie Mouton; and brother, Paul Pirello, Sr. Pallbearers will be Tyler Pirello, Jacob Hingle, Mark Babin, Jasper Babin, Carl Babin and Alvin Lewis. Visitation will be at St. George Catholic Church on Siegen Lane on Saturday June 19, 2021 at 11:45 am until Mass at 12:30. Interment to follow in St. George Mausoleum.
