Charles Ernest “Chuck” Weimer, Jr., a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the age of 74. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Vietnam. He was also a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, where he served as Reader. He graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics in 1970. He also graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with Master’s Degree in Computer Science. He was a Data Warehouse Manager for the State of Louisiana for 11 years. He is survived by his wife, Holly W. Yee; his children: Cassandra E. Weimer (Steven) and Charles F. Weimer; and grandchildren: Andrew Michael and Evelyn Rose. He is also survived by his favorite sister, Catherine Weimer Sayes (Malcolm); brothers: Dr. Chester Weimer (Monica) and James Weimer (Dawn); and nieces, Dr. Christie Sayes (Ken) and Dr. Jill Dewey (Ryan). He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Louise Claudet Weimer and Dr. Charles E. Weimer, Sr.; a brother, Steve Weimer; and nephew, Taylor Weimer. Visitation will be at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave, on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, 949 Menard St, Thibodaux, LA 70301. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory to the food bank.
