He was 31 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting atCalvaryLutheranChurch, 5219 Greenwell St., on Monday, Oct. 30, from 9 a.m.until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Gary Peterson. Interment inArlingtonNationalCemetery. Survived by his wife, Denisa H. Thomas; father and mother, Alvin Thomas III and Patricia E. Thomas; daughter, Tarrisa Medina Thomas; son, Ty Myrilam Thomas; two sisters, Ta Rhonda Thomas McKee and spouse Michael of Richmond, Va., and Tressa M. Thomas, Baton Rouge; and brother, Timothy Thomas and spouse Passion of Houston. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Abe Ellis and Alvin Thomas Jr. Pallbearers will be members of the military, friends and family. He was a 1994 graduate ofCapitolSenior High School, 2004 graduate ofWarrantOfficersSchooland, in 2006, attended pilot training atFortRucker.
