

Chlotilde "Cloty" Foster CarlislePassed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. She was 97, a native of Pollock, LA and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge for 76 years. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge. Chlotilde started and ended her professional career at Guaranty Corporation after 50 ½ years of loyal service. At the time of her retirement she was a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of Guaranty Income Life Insurance Company. She received a letter from President Ronald Reagan congratulating her on 50 years of dedicated service. Chlotilde is survived by her niece, Susan Chlotilde Parker of Jupiter, FL; great nephew, Henry Carlisle "Jack" Sharp and great niece Brandi Sharp Aljariri of Baton Rouge; and cherished friend Ena Gordon. She was preceded in death by her husband Grady H. Carlisle and her mother, Gencie Price Foster; brother, Walter D. Foster and three sisters, Norma Dillard, Mae Brown and Margaret Jean Clark. Pallbearers will be Mark Parker, Mike Wicker, Tex Morris, Jack Sharp, Flynn Foster. Honorary pallbearer will be George A. Foster, Jr. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 925 Government St., Friday, September 11, 2015, 11:00 a.m. until religious service at 12 noon. Entombment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by Pastor Oren Conner and Pastor Hurice Oubre, Jr. The family would like to thank her loving caregivers Bridgette Johnson, Brenda Strahorn, Charlotte Oubre, Geraldine Campo, Minnie Johnson, Tonya Gohran and Ruby Cummings.
