
Christine Martin Bossier, born June 12, 1930, in Haynesville, and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at her home Monday, April 12, 2010. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Wednesday, April 14, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation continues at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., Thursday from 9 a.m. until funeral Mass at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Miles Walsh, celebrant. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway. Chris is survived by two daughters, Wanda Bossier Loupe and husband John, of Springfield, and Sandy Bossier Nagel and husband Todd, of Denham Springs; son, David Kevin Bossier, of Denham Springs; grandchildren, CoCo Loupe-Beamer, Blue Loupe, Candis Nagel Craig, Daffne Nagel Strahan and Morgan and Macane Bossier; and two great-granddaughters, Ellie and Maci Craig. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Elijah David Bossier; parents, Daniel Webster and Mary Ann "Molly" Plunkett Martin; six brothers, Earl, Willie Dee, L.P., W.D., Ellis and Pat; and three sisters, Mabel Thomas, Idell Camp and Edna Merritt. She was a retired nurse, having worked in private practice as well as for Ochsner Hospital, New Orleans. Pallbearers are David Martin, Brad Dunn, Russell LeFeaux, Leo Martin, Don Zito and Kevin Dicharry. Honorary pallbearer is Steve Crowson. The family would like to thank her physician, Dr. Patrick Gahan, the staff of the Rehabilitation Center at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center and her caregivers, Cindy Case and Crystal Craft. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge or a charity of your choice. >
