Christopher Michael Broussard

A resident of Geismar and native of Baton Rouge died on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 as the result of an automobile accident near St. Gabriel. He was 22 and a senior at LSU. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 from 3 pm until 7 pm. Visitation resumes on Monday, Sept. 2nd, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am celebrated by the Rev. Mike Collins and Rev. Phil Spano. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Christopher is survived by his parents, Michael and Lisa Drago Broussard; sister, Michelle Elizabeth Broussard; grandparents, George and Peggy Womack Boeneke, William J. Drago, Sue I. Gebhart; four aunts, Cindy Drago, Cynthia Broussard, Terry Tullis and Leigh Anne Bailey; four uncles, David, Gene, Jon and Dane Drago; numerous cousins and relatives; and members of Theta Chi fraternity. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Bryan K. Drago. Christopher was a member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church and a founding member and former vice president of Theta Chi fraternity at LSU. He was a 2009 graduate of Catholic High School and participated in Habitat for Humanity. Pallbearers will be Brett Conrad, Brennan Stutes, Nick Perry, Matt Darouse, Dane Drago and David Drago. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Drago and Jon Drago. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for Baton Rouge Food Bank or the Society of St. Vincent dePaul.
