

Claude was a retired project manager for Exxon/Mobil with 35 years of service. He was a native of Franklinton and a resident of Baton Rouge. Claude was a U.S. Army Corps veteran of World War II. He died at 6:58am Saturday, October 12, 2013, at The Carpenter House. He was 89. After the war, he attended LSU and received his degree in electrical engineering. Claude was a member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church. He was a very generous and kind person who was loved by all, touching everyone's life who knew him. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East,Sunday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Visitation will resume Monday from 11:00am until the religious service at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Hawley Wolfe. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Claude is survived by his daughter: Laura Baragona&husband Frank; sons: Randy Fussell&wife Jenny, Doug Fussell&wife Stacey, Jim Fussell&Ann Fluitt, and Mark Fussell&wife Kris; grandchildren: Christopher Fussell&wife Lisa, Katie Rebel&husband Frank, Leigh Baragona, Brooke Baragona, Rebecca Baragona&fiance' James MacPherson, Austin Fussell&wife Monica, Troy Fussell, Lindsey Fussell&fiance' Zach Romanowsky, Abby Fussell, Maddie Fussell, Mary-Margaret Fussell; great-grandchildren: Ryan Rebel, Oliver Fussell; Claude's dear friend and companion: Barbara Hollier; friend&caregiver: Janice Freeman; he was preceded in death by his wife: Kathryn Norwood Fussell; his parents: Henry Lewis&Emma Cox Fussell; brother: Clyde Fussell; sisters: Wilka Bankson and Wilda Stewart. Pallbearers will be: Christopher Fussell, Austin Fussell, Troy Fussell, Frank Baragona, Richard Stewart and Eli Freeman. Honorary pallbearer is Ernest Ott.
