

Cleveland “Cleve” Joseph LeBlanc, 96 was born on July 1, 1928, in Labarre, La. Cleve was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, employed by Margot Corporation in sales for over 45 years. Cleve served in the Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post # 38. Cleve was in the Knights of Columbus Council 8601 for 78 years and was a current member of St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus. He spent over 50 years in the United Commercial Travelers Association Council 499, also serving as the Grand Councilor. Cleve enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and above all loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Verlyne Collins LeBlanc, to whom he would have been married for 64 years on October 15th. He is also survived by their son, Lance LeBlanc (Mary Stock LeBlanc); grandchildren, Monica LeBlanc Butler (Josh), Lisa LeBlanc, Brock Bossier, Roxanne LeBlanc Knopp (Skyler), Andrew LeBlanc, Raquella LeBlanc Manuel (Clint); as well as great grandkids, Jayden, Emma, Luke, and Levi. Siblings Welton “Jack” LeBlanc, Donald LeBlanc and Barbara LeBlanc Canatella.
He is preceded into death by his son, Gary Jude LeBlanc; parents, Edmond and Hortense Babin LeBlanc; and siblings, Edmond LeBlanc Jr, Milda LeBlanc Bonhage, Linda LeBlanc Dickinson, Simon LeBlanc, and Mary Ann LeBlanc McKearan.
Pallbearers include, Andrew LeBlanc, Jayden LeBlanc, Tommy LeBlanc, Brock Bossier, Josh Butler, Clint Manuel, and Skyler Knopp.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, on Monday, October 21st, 2024 from 4 pm until 7 pm with a Rosary at 5:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, October 22nd at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, Baton Rouge, from 10 am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their special thanks Dr. Bahij Khuri, MD and Dr. Alexander Mulamula, MD and the entire Ochsner Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or to a charity of your choice.
