Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Minister Barry Durbin will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
He is survived by his parents, Nina and Clifton Ivey, Sr., and his beloved, long-time secretary, Tawny Roberts. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, F.J. and Betty Ivey.
Clifton attended LSU Law School and practiced law in Baton Rouge. He also worked with the Pointe Coupee Sheriff's Department, the West Baton Rouge Sheriff's Department, and the Baton Rouge City Police Department. He served as Assistant Police Chief in Central, Louisiana.
Clifton taught Sunday School at First United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge and sang in the choir at both First United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge. He was also a member of the Baton Rouge Rotary Club.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Phipps, Gregory Patin, Michael Lorio, Shane Powers, Charles Whitten, and Raymond Sharma. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary P. Koederitz.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Stephenson Pet Clinic at LSU.
